I forgot one of the best stories of the week. It was a prayer offered by Kate one night before bed: “Thanks that Dad can do well on his tests. Thanks that Dad is in school. Thanks that we don’t have a daddy.” I opened my eyes at that point and decided it was time for a daddy-daughter date.
