All the student loans, all the miles separating us from our families, all the days when we don’t see Josh, and all the stress of studying and recruiting almost seem worth it when you arrive at Spring Break. A week and a half of nothing--hallelujah! Our goals are to chip away at our household to do list, reacquaint the girls with their dad, and show Josh Philadelphia. So far we have done pretty well in all three areas and are having a lot of fun. We’ve been to the zoo, story time with Curious George, and Trader Joe’s. We cleaned out the car, went for a family 5K run, and even ate at a “resternaut.” So far so good. It is such an amazing phenomenon to have Josh around to help with the girls. They are loving it. Jane always greets me with, “Daddy do it!” The best part is, I’m happy to let him. Hopefully it will be a good week for all of us.

That’s pretty much all the news from around here. I did come across an article in a magazine that I wanted to share. The title of the article is “14 Most Romantic Getaways.” Number 14 is Paris. Not a bad start, but it can obviously only go up from there. A few other destinations that make the list are Lake Tahoe, Nantucket, and Maui. And then you come to number 9 (drum roll please): Philadelphia! See, I have been telling you for months that you needed to come visit. Now I have proof--fully researched and published. The best part, however, is the reasoning, “Tourists embrace in front of the city’s iconic Love Park; locals steal kisses in the Franklin Institute’s Giant Heart exhibit (the site of many a marriage proposals)...” Okay, so....Love Park is fun. A great spot for photos. The giant heart...well, I’ve been there. I must say, however, that it left me looking for my bottle of hand sanitizer rather than brimming with romantic thoughts. Whatever. I would be happy to show you both and let you judge for yourself. ☺ The important thing is that Philadelphia is the place to visit!
