I Prefer the Real Football

One of our unresolved marital conflicts is whether or not our children will be allowed to play football.  Joshua never got the chance to play in a football league when he was young so he insists that our children will play football.  I grew up in a doctor's family where football and motorcycles were absolutely prohibited.  So, naturally I insist that our children will not play football.  I think the Lord knew we were incapable of resolving this dispute and so he has blessed us with two girls.  If we ever get mature enough to work through our differences maybe we will be blessed with a boy.  However, I must say that genetics are on my side.  I don't think there is much of a chance of Joshua and I producing a 300 lb lineman.  Yesterday we took Jane in for her four month check-up.  She is the 30th percentile for weight, weighing in at an incredible 13 lbs 2 oz, and the 90th percentile for height, measuring 25 1/2 inches--not really shaping up to be a powder puff star.
